On August 27, 2020, Jiří Střelec trained the commissioners of junior competitions for bartenders and baristas. He focused mainly on how to direct young people in competition to strengthen their desire for a profession. Together, we thought about what is going on in the minds of the evaluated competitors and how to help students enjoy the competition without unnecessary stress. The training of various model situations also contributed to the acquisition of these soft skills.
The lecturer focused on the training on two parallel paths that people go through during development. Neither can be missed for success.
- The first journey begins with self-knowledge - self-motivation - self-development
- The second path begins with knowledge - skills - experience
The training also included how to teach properly, not only young people. Learn to fix key information quickly and permanently. The same procedure has been used by the lecturer for years for the development of TOP management and specialists in various company positions. The commissioners were absolutely great. They actively participated, not only in practical exercises, but also in discussions.
"It's amazing to be able to meet people who care about the professionalism of bartenders and baristas. I wish there were more such commissioners and in all professions."
